Aims of the course is to introduce students to the use of computers in the analysis of statistical data and in the simulations of complex scenarios characterized by randomness. All analysis and coding activities analyses will be conducted inside the statistical environment R.
Prerequisites
STATISTICA I
Teaching Methods
Lessons will be taken in equipped classrooms.

Type of Assessment
Final tests using a PC (on the R package). It may be necessary a final oral examination.
Course program
Use of the R package for:
- data input/output;
- type of statistical data;
- data cleaning, tratment of missing data and outliers;
- univariate statistics, indices, elements of computer graphics;
- empirical proof of some convergence theorems;
- estimator properties;
- simultions for the computing of the expected values of complex probability games.
Sustainable Development Goals 2030
The topics covered in the program are partly related to the following 2030 Agenda Objective:
Goal 3: Health and Wellness
Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and infrastructure.
Such topics are in fact relevant for the purposes of a correct quantitative analytical assessment of people's health and well-being as well as for the development of innovative procedures in the field of industrial processes.
